Hello and welcome to my website! Here you can find some random tidbits about me, links to various places to purchase my amazing books, ways to contact me, and a blog where I will sometimes ramble away! So wander around, explore, don't keep your arms in the car at all times, and do pet/feed the animals. They are friendly...except for that moose over there. He ate a child last week. One bite and the kid was gone. It was odd and we all try not to make eye contact with the moose anymore. He looks twichy. But anyway, I would like to say thank you. It means a lot to me, with all the other internet things you could be doing, you opted to stop by here. That is simply the nicest thing you could ever do for me. Your gold star is in the mail!

Review: Smash Cut (2009)

Hearing about the passing of David Hess made me a little sad. I enjoyed The Last House On The Left because of Krug...he was a fucked up guy and was the only one of the "baddies" that scared me. And come on, the music that was created for the movie was fantastic. So when my man and I were sitting around and we heard about his death, I jumped online and saw that David was also in a movie I had that I had never watched: Smash Cut. So it was decided that we would watch the film in his honor.

The movie is about a horror film director who is getting horrible reviews for his unrealistic gore. So he takes action after a car accident kills his stripper muse and fills his new movies with more realistic body parts. But the stripper had a sister who hires a private eye to track down the missing woman.

In all honesty, I liked the movie, but not a lot. I would come back to it mostly for the blood splattered gore that I love and crave. And I did enjoy the kind of campy feel a lot of the movie had. Other than that, the acting wasn't all that great and neither was the script. I don't know, this movie could have been so much better if so many things were different which really isn't a good thing to say about a film at all.

What the movie did have going for it was Mr. Hess...he did wonderfully as the director and gave a great performance with what he was given. Also the small amount of scenes with Michael Berryman were outstanding thanks to the hilarious wig he was wearing. It is like when Kevin wears his toupe on The Office...I love a good awful hair piece.

So I would not really recommend this movie unless you have some time to waste or are a lover of certain actors...but not if you are a lover of Sasha Grey. I am in favor of porn actors crossing over into the mainstream, she is gorgeous and I respect the hell out of her, but she was just eww. The whole movie might have been better if that role was cast differently.

Favorite Part: All around the movie studio there are posters from the directors other movies. The titles of the movies are awesome and I loved when there was shot when I could read more...my favorite has to be "Oops! There Goes My Left Arm!" I would watch that movie. Someone make it.
